Sever Upgrade

Last week we started having some problems with our server and it seemed that the problem was the ram in the server was maxing out and so the server would stop responding. Our server company tried a number of times to correct the issue without success and the decision was made last Saturday afternoon that we would upgrade to a new server and start the migration of all our customers’ sites, and I am sure that everyone here saw many issues with their sites during this migration. Migrating to a new server is no easy task, because there is tons of data and many things need to happen in the right order so that the migration can be performed without losing data.

The good news right now is that the migration is completed and we are running at almost 100% which means that everything is checking out normal. We are going to continue to keep a close eye on things for the next few weeks and we are going to investigate more as to why the old server was starting to die. I also wanted to take a moment to explain that in the event that our server did stop working we have a backup server that backs up all sites and information daily so really not a lot of data is lost. So there are no worries of losing complete sites emails and other important documents you might have on your site.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience to anyone during this transition and we hope that you will be happy with the new upgrade of the server. Yes we did upgrade our server to a much bigger and faster system sooner than expected. Most of you who use your site daily will notice a huge increase in speed and performance.
